Description
Disc filters are used at the stage of additional treatment in sewage and/or industrial wastewater treatment plants.
Scope of application of disk filters:
pretreatment of biologically treated wastewater up to discharge requirements, including the use of reagents;
pre-treatment before UV disinfection plants to reduce absorption of UV radiation (allows to reduce the capacity and, consequently, the cost of UV systems);
purification of liquids in production processes;
recycling water supply systems;
additional treatment after activated sludge flotation;
fish breeding in artificial reservoirs.
Design of Ekoton disk filters
Technological advantages of Ekoton disk filters:
High efficiency (reduction of filtered solids, COD, BOD, phosphorus).
It can be manufactured both in a version for installation in a concrete tank (recommended for medium and large capacity wastewater treatment plants) and in a stainless steel housing (for small and medium-sized wastewater treatment plants).
The filtrate (wastewater pretreated by FD Ecoton) is used for flushing. Compared to the traditional scheme with the use of filters with granular loading, there is no need for the device of tanks of washing water and bulky system of pipelines and powerful pumps.

Compared to cheaper solutions using polyester filter media, the FD Ekoton filter cloth is made of stainless steel. Stainless steel is a more durable and resistant material, which allows better cleaning of the filter mesh during washing and increases the service life of the filter as a whole.
The filter disk consists of individual elements that can be easily replaced manually. Lifting equipment is not required when operating the filter.
The filter housing is closed with inspection covers, which completely excludes moisture escape into the room/working area.
